There is a dire need all over the globe for relief assistance and sustainable development in various contexts. In response to this need, the EFSA Institute strives to make a difference in the lives of needy people.
The EFSA Institute is an ecumenical institute that promotes dialogue and consensus between different sectors and role-players on the challenges facing our diverse society.
In a general sense, the institute focuses public attention on specific social issues. It plays a facilitating role by providing a platform for the public debate of such issues – even controversial ones.
In the pursuit of dialogue and consensus, we do research and host expert consultations, conferences and workshops. The findings are often published and used in lobby processes and advocacy.
In addition, we also facilitate, coordinate and implement programmes with a number of projects on ground level.
