    The EFSA Institute has hosted several international conferences on the role of the church and religious communities in community development and in delivering social services. This has contributed to the establishment of the National Religious Association for Social Development (NRASD) that is a national coalition of faith-based social and welfare services.

    The development of youth and community leadership

    Special courses for the development of leadership skills among our youth (on school and university level) have been developed and are presented to underline this important facet of the EFSA Institute’s work in supporting the building of a new society.

    The institute’s Community Leadership Academy (CLA) works with all cultural and religious groups and strives to support them in developing the skills and the moral commitment to become leaders in community upliftment as well as the implementation of community development projects.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    EFSA Institute was founded with the vision to create an ecumenical academy that can serve as forum and platform to bring different sectors and role-players together to reflect on the main challenges that a divided South African society is facing.
